Review:
Ok! I must admit that I first set eyes on this novel while on my lunch break and frustrated with my workday. I needed to get way, you know a quick stress reliever; my mind drifted to visit a near by book store.
After browsing the small African American wall of fiction, I glanced at this book and thought to myself "this does not look my type of reading" and to add the novel was a little pricey. However, something kept nudging me to read this novel and I said "ok if I find it on Amazon for a cheaper price then I will consider buying it to read later but for right now I am looking for a page turning read".
I began reading the reviews on Amazon some good and some so so, but I clicked "look inside" and low and behold I was hooked after reading the first chapter! I am not near completion of this novel but I instantly started imagining the characters and role playing the accents in my head. I think that this book is a good summer read.
This novel is going to take me a while to complete so stay tuned for more new and exciting African American fiction literature reviews!
