Greetings my fiction reading bloggers,
Today's post will present an overview on the mission and expectations of introducing an Urban Fiction reading and writing blog. As some of you may have familiarized yourselves with my profile but just in case you haven't taken a glance, I would like for you to know that I not only enjoy reading Urban Fiction; I have also began to write a few Urban Fiction short stories of my own, and I will post a synopsis of my short stories on this blog.
However, I developed this blog because as an avid Urban Fiction reader, I found myself searching for urban fiction books that are not completely driven by illegal substances and sex; do not get me wrong I do enjoy tasteful romance and illegal substance usage that Urban Fiction provide but over exposure kills the enjoyment.
As a Chicago native of seasonal climate changes, I begin to read extensively both Urban Fiction and Non-Fiction literature, and I recognized that I enjoyed urban fiction books that provided summer description settings during the winter months; winter based description settings provided an increase of enjoyment during the summer months, and in the fall months I found that I enjoyed engaging in African American Fiction Literature (Heritage Reading I call it).
Therefore, I thought why not create a blog of both Urban and African American Fiction to assist other readers in selecting great authors to read each month. I will Post the title of the book that I am currently reading followed by a book that I have read for each season. I hope that you enjoy and Thank you for visiting Neo-Soul Urban Fiction!
